This Christmas season was hectic, with just a small pause it seemed on Christmas eve. The little miss ended up loving the gift (Sing Stand karoke mike) I wasn’t sure about. I was spoiled by my dear husband. My dear daughter discovered it was more fun to give than to get. (She made her dad a picture book from Shutterfly and was beyond excited to give it to him.)
Each delightful moment was a treasure against the backdrop of a broken world. Last night we ushered in the new year with a group of friends. It lays before us yet unwritten. What will it bring?
We wish each other a happy new year, but really what I want to wish you is a year of courage and one that brings the peace of Jesus to every heart. He is the one that will fulfill the longings and dreams we seek to accomplish this year. May he give us His strength this new year.
“We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.” 1 Colossians 9-12
