Fame, people strive for it and don’t get it or they don’t strive for it and then get it. I was thinking about this the other day driving past the house, now museum, of a local historic figure. What would it be like to be notable enough to justify making a museum out of your house. Would this person have have welcomed that idea while still alive?
Graceland is a prime example. People flock there to get that much closer to their idol, looking at the now dated furnishings and remember their historical figure.
Jesus, who world wide is uber famous, demonstrated the opposite of type of fame. In fact, he was pretty much anti fame, trying to keep his miracles a secret. He didn’t have a home we can now visit, but even if he did, we would have no need for it. How different it is that he is still with us, speaking to our hearts and showing himself still alive. No need for a dusty relic to tour.
“No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.”
